Working with Snoopy at MetLife

Since November I have been a brand and advertising intern with MetLife at their office in the heart of midtown Manhattan.  I was first made aware of the internship through Fordham University’s Career Services and was thrilled to learn that I was chosen for the position.

It was an exciting time for me to join MetLife as I had the incredible opportunity to help my managers with the launch of a new brand campaign, MetLife. I Can Do This.  Since 1985 Snoopy has served as the ambassador for the MetLife brand.  In 2012, MetLife aired their first Super Bowl commercial, “Everybody,” which featured fifty-six cartoon characters including  Scooby-Doo, Casper the Friendly Ghost, Fat Albert and many more!

My entire team at MetLife has been extremely supportive of my professional development by mentoring me in brand management, marketing, and advertising for a financial services firm.  My experience at MetLife has not only strongly complemented my business classes at Fordham, but it has provided me with real world exposure that many students do not receive as an undergraduate.

  1. Congratulations! Brand management is one of the first jobs someone in marketing does.
