You can create your own cupcakes, choosing from velvet cake to crème cheese frosting with coconut crumbs as a finishing touch, this is definitely the place to be. Walking down to the Madison Avenue, you’ll find another delightful cupcake shop named Eleni’s. It is located at 1266 Madison Avenue. This is a perfect place to shop for a delicious dessert if you are going for a walk in the Central Park. Keep walking down along the Madison Avenue’s neighbor, Lexington Avenue, and you will find another cupcake shop – Sprinkles Cupcakes. Located at 780 Lexington, this shop is a perfect stopover if you want to do a little shopping on Bloomingdale’s by 60th Street and Lexington Avenue. If you are willing to do a little more walking, another cupcake shop is nearby on 973 2nd Avenue, just 8 blocks away from Bloomingdale’s. If you want to get away from the Mid Town and hang around the trendy Lower East Side, you can make a quick stop at Sugar Sweet Sunshine on 126 Rivington Street. If you want to enjoy the sceneries of New York skylines and watch the view from the Brooklyn Bridge, then the Tribeca Treats is for you. If you do not enjoy the Lower East Side but love the West Village, don’t fret because Amy’s Bread at 250 Bleecker Street can be your stop. If you are passionate about the LGBT social injustice issues, West Village has a large community that focuses on gay rights. If you are in New York for the very first time, and want to be the tourist you’ve never played, you can take a walk at the Times Square and wander around the new New York Times building after a quick stop at the Cupcake Café located at 545 9th Avenue.
No matter what you have in your mind, New York City is filled with dolce you’ll enjoy. Even if you do not go to these specific cupcake stores, there are chain stores such as Crumbs and Magnolia Bakery that are located through the city. Just beware, once you have these cupcakes, you’ll crave for more, leaving a hole in your wallet.
