Alice's Tea Cup: Chapter 1

After writing about good coffee in the city for the last few months, I decided to find a great tea shop to try. My search led me to Alice's Tea Cup, located at 102 W. 73rd street, a short walk uptown from the Lincoln Center Campus.

Alice's Tea cup is a tea house with an Alice in Wonderland theme. You can come in and order tea and scones (The pumpkin scone is unbelievable!) at the counter, or grab a table in the back and order from a full menu, which includes sandwiches, soups, salads, and many other foods to go along with afternoon tea. They also serve a delicious brunch (get the french toast!).

Alice's has dozens and dozens of varieties of tea including many black, white, red, green, herbal, and decaf teas. I recommend ordering a pot for two which also comes with two scones and some cream and preserves. It's a great place to go for a nice lunch with friends and family, or just to grab a quick cup of tea to go.
