Ram Town 2012

For my past three years at Fordham, I have worked for Fordham's Women's Basketball team. And for the past two years, I have had the privelage of representing the Women's team in planning Ram Town, one of the biggest events on campus!

Ram Town is our University's own form of a pep rally, where we kick off the men's and women's basketball seasons. This year was our third annual Ram Town, and it was definitely the best year yet. We had over three thousand fans, including students, families, and alumni, packed into the Rose Hill Gym to support our basketball programs. There was a DJ and tons of free stuff given away, like t-shirts, food, and drinks. There is also plenty of games and contests for the fans to take part in. The prizes for the contests, in which the students got to  play against players and other students, included nooks, iPads, 37'' flat screen televisions, free books for a semester and the grand prize of the night...a CRUISE! Students got to participate in kareoke, dance-offs, shoot-out contests, and much more. It's definitely one of my favorite events of the year and it really gets everyone excited about the upcoming basketball seasons. If you're around Fordham next year around Ram Town time, make sure to stop by the Rose Hill Gym and support two of Fordham's great athletic programs! Go Rams!
