Fordham and the New York Botanical Garden

Spring is here!  The flowers are poking their heads out, the grass is green, and the winter coats are (finally) getting thrown back in the closet.  It's a good time to be here, in the greatest city in the world.

And, best of all, if you happen to get bored of our own beautiful campus, you can always take a quick walk ACROSS THE STREET to the New York Botanical Garden, which, did I mention, is FREE for Fordham students?

That's right, FREE!

A grounds pass is available for any student who shows their ID at the gate.  You can just walk around and take in the beautifully cultivated landscape of the garden any time you wish.  For many students, this can mean anything from your morning jog to your afternoon de-stress.  It's absolutely beautiful, but don't take my word for it.  Look for yourself!

Plus, if you want to get extra involved in this beautiful organization, they offer a number of special events, plus you can even volunteer there!  A number of Fordham students (including yours truly) have taken this step, and I love it!

So, stop by!  Whether on your visit or your first day, take a walk around the gardens.  I promise you won't regret it!
