The Ram Van!

Fordham has campuses in two boroughs of New York City. There’s one in the Bronx (Rose Hill Campus) and one in Manhattan (the Lincoln Center campus). A great way to travel between campuses is the Ram Van. Ram Vans are inter-campus transportation vehicles that travel between the Lincoln Center campus and Rose Hill campus leaving every thirty minutes from each campus. The vans seat 14 students are driven by students trained to drive them. This is a great way to get into the heart of the city and a popular mode of transportation for students!

The Ram Van office is located on the ground floor of the parking garage next to O’Hare Hall on the Rose Hill campus. Students can sign up to take a van in the office (now you can sign up online too!) The Ram Van costs $3.00 per ride. However, if you are travelling between campuses for class or because you are involved in a club on the other campus, transportation is free!

The Ram Van Office also provides transportation to and from JFK International Airport and LaGuardia during breaks. Many of my friends who live in different parts of the country use this service. I used it for the first time when flying out of LaGuardia over Spring Break this year. It was so convenient! It took only 25 minutes to get from the Rose Hill campus to my terminal at the airport. Using the Ram Van definitely reduces some of the stress of travelling!
